Paulit-ulit: Train man the novel

Re-post from multiply Posted Jul 21, '10 10:49 PM

Got to see the movie and the TV series, never seen the forum itself (I would probably brush it off since its in Japanese) so the closest thing to it is the novel by Hitori Nakano.  Thanks to Philip for lending me the book.  Quite a fast read really, I borrowed it a few months ago but just started reading it last Tuesday.  Hehehehe, wasn't able to devote any time for it then, was able to find a chance this week.

Didn't imagine the book like the way it was portrayed in the movie and series.  Nevertheless the series is still hilarious.  Now going back to the book, it was just a compilation of the multiple forum made in 2Ch, when reading since most of the netizens participating was anonymous I just treated my read as Trainman's entries in bold font and others in normal font and each entry separated by a line.  Cared less who of the netizens are posting, the idea is to enjoy their comments and views about Train.

The compilation was already filtered but the actual post number is shown, since one discussion is limited to have one thousand entries, the story was propagated in several threads.  The compilation was full of ASCII art, a page turner literally, hahahaha, literally.  The novel was quite amusing even left a feel good thingy after finishing it. I think the hype helped, the movie and series helped.  I can't say that you'll enjoy the read as much as I did if you have no clue about the hype itself, or the movie or the TV series.  It won't hurt to try. Bongga! <from RUBY, sorry naman nanonood si lhen sa likod>  Time to return the book, it's long overdue.
